"It's raining students!!! I have gotten 10 (ten!!!!) new students in the last week, including 3 just today. Before TakeLessons, I worked online for an Asian based ESL company. I used to hate my job. There was so much stress. When I got enough TakeLessons students last December, I was able to stop giving classes with the other company. My husband comments all the time how much less stressed I am and how much I laugh when I am working now. I am so happy with my TL experience. I have only been with them since last October. I had a handful of students early on but then my schedule blew up at Xmas time. Right now I have 37 active students. It has helped me grow my business as a self-employed person. I love making my own schedule, being my own boss and controlling the way I teach and the materials I use. And for the first time since I finished school, I am putting money away each week and thinking about purchasing a home within the next year."

"I have been with TL for about 6 months. I started my own music studio 6 months ago with zero students. Today, 6 months later I have 49 students. I teach violin, viola, and cello. I offer in-person and online lessons and I live in Pittsbugh, PA. I do have a Bachelors and Masters degree in viola performance and I am certified to teach Music K-12 in PA and NC and have taught for over 20 years. Prior to becoming self employed, I was unemployed for 18 months. I signed up with TL and a few other services to start my business. Now, I have been receiving a new student almost every week. To those who are unsure about TL, it works. I am proof of it. I have taken time on my profile, keep my calendar up to date, have lots of reviews, a video, and increased what and how I teach. I have invested a little money for a cello and some equipment for lessons, but I have made back that investment plus more. I appreciate everything TL does and feel very fortunate to be part of this community!"

I launched my profile in December of 2015, slowly filled in all the details of my profile, got a few of my past students to review me on the site, and started getting messages like crazy!
