I give Gina a 5 star because it doesn't have a 10. She is awesome, smart, fun, and caring. I take Spanish and makes so much easier because she also speaks fluent Portuguese (my native language), and she can explain the difference between both language. I highly recommend Gina :)

Ciao/ Hello! My name is Francesca. I was born and raised in Italy. I have been teaching Italian since 2008 at levels ranging from beginner to advanced and to all ages. My lessons are fun, dynamic, and flexible. They intended to develop speaking, listening, writing and reading skills and offer fun conversation on a variety of topics. Students learn the language through practical examples of daily life situations. Each lesson can be tailored to the students’ needs. I have also tailored my lessons for students that want to learn the Italian language for traveling purposes. Learning a language goes hand in hand with understanding the culture. My lessons are focused on using the Italian culture to provide the setting that helps the students learn the language and feel comfortable and confident when speaking to native Italian speaking persons.

I would highly recommend Francesca Bruni as an Italian teacher! She has been my Italian teacher for a number of years! Her ability to instruct vocabulary, grammar and comprehension all woven together with themes of Italian culture has provided me with a rapid acquisition of essential and enjoyable conversation skills. Not only are Francesca’s instructional materials relevant and engaging, but whether presented in an in-person manner or online virtual setting, allow for a highly successful experience. Hi Future Students,

If you love the Italian culture and would like to learn how to speak Italian, I'm your girl!! I studied for 4 years in college and moved there for some time. I can help you with your hw and I can also help you, if you just want to learn some basic phrases to get around.

About Deborah

I have so many different things I teach. If you are looking for a voice teacher, I definitely can be of help. I have been singing all of my life. I sing in many different genres like pop, gospel, R&B, and classical. I can even help if you want to be an opera singer, as I am studying to be one myself

Deborah's expertise and professionalism are a pleasant surprise when you consider how young she is. I have met teachers that are decades older than her who do not have the ability to accurately tell you exactly what you are doing wrong or how you can correct it. You hear a lot of, "just keep practicing and it will sort itself out" from other instructors, and this could cause you to develop bad habits that could affect your voice. Deborah is the opposite of that.

She pinpoints exactly what I am doing wrong during my lesson and offers suggestions on how to correct it going forward. I appreciate that because if your instructor doesn't tell you, your audience will. And you might not like how they say it. I am there to go beyond just singing in the shower, and her constructive criticism only makes me better. She is also polite when she corrects you, she's not cracking the whip.

She focuses immediately on different techniques that will help you improve your voice so that you can PROGRESS, instead of just banging out scales on the piano lesson after lesson and overlooking mistakes a student may make like some instructors do. I hate to be this blunt, but there are some instructors I have met in the past who do just that (none of them are from takelessons) to me it shows a devotion to the art and a commitment to bringing out the best voice that you have she wants you to be as good as her! To me no one could ask for any more than that in a voice instructor. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a teacher.

Deborah is a wonderful teacher. She is patience, caring, understanding, knowledgeable, and motivating. I HIGHLY recommend Deborah as a vocal coach.
Sarita G.
Just as she promise ;work on breathing first, usually I like some time go by before I make a comment but the first introduction went so well, I have a positive outlook of my future practice. I have my questions answer and I also understand them as well. I am sure I have more and have confidence they will be answer....

I've been teaching Italian since 2004 and my students have gone to learn and love not only the language, but also the rich Italian culture. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to handle basic conversations; later you'll learn to talk about the past and the future, etc. I use different types of materials: books, but also extracts from magazine, songs, videos, commercials, etc. I love mixing language with culture and pop-culture as they all are tightly connected.

"Francesca is a fabulous teacher. We are an adult upper intermediate level class who have been with Francesca for several years. Her classes are small and we are all totally engaged. She takes a keen interest in each of us and our individual
needs. In addition to grammar, dictation, homework, Francesca focuses on advanced readings from Italian stories to newspaper articles, and on only speaking Italian. To improve our speaking we start with students telling about their week and/or making oral presentations to the class based on an Italian news article a student has found of interest. These presentations provide an opening for more conversation and for identification of lots of new vocabulary. Francesca is patient and makes sure we each participate. The environment she creates is one where it's OK to make mistakes and where we can have fun learning and laugh with each other. Francesca's sense of humor makes our classes even more fun."

Learn Italian in Boston

One of Europe's romance languages, Italian is rooted deeply in Latin - the language of the ancient Romans. Modern Italian didn't begin developing until the 13th and 14th centuries. Originally the Tuscan dialect, modern Italian was eventually standardized and used across Italy after the country's unification in 1861.

Today, about 66 million people speak Italian. It's commonly spoken in countries around the world, but Italian is only the official language of Italy, Vatican City, Switzerland, and San Marino. Italian-Americans are one of the largest immigrant groups in the U.S., so it’s no wonder the language is one of the most popular languages to study. Plus, Italian culture, with its majestic art and architecture, delectable cuisine, and romantic music, is irresistible.
