Bass lessons with me focus on the importance of pocket, groove, and ear training for improvisation. We will look at famous bass players such as Parliament's, Bootsy Collins and seasoned bassists Charlie Parker, Pino Paladino and Thundercat. The lessons will be curated behind the students goals/desires if that's creating unique baselines or learning songs and the theory behind them. Specific focus will be placed on ear training. Learning scales and understanding scale degrees. After you develop your basic music theory and ear training abilities, you can expect to be able to listen to most songs or musicians and be able to identify and play along efficiently and effectively.
