Hey there!! My name is Jameson and I'm a professional recording artist (singer, songwriter, and producer) based in Los Angeles, CA. I'm also an experienced musician and live performer with over 20 years of study and industry experience. Lessons in my studio are about so much more than just learning to sing a song or analyze music**. Students are instilled with technique, work ethic, real-world business knowledge, and confidence so they can truly accomplish whatever they set their minds to. We go deep focusing on how to develop new mental and physical habits that can help you better express yourself. Every student gets a handcrafted curriculum that is specifically catered to meet their goals and needs, and of course, that I hope is fun too! Singing is one of the most vulnerable things a person can do!–which is why it's so important to me that I provide not only criticism and critique, but also praise and validation. I've learned that we do our best work when we can feel hopeful, proud, and supported in our individuality. We can only improve by putting ourselves out there, which means you failing (a lot!). From lesson one, I will begin instilling you with knowledge and confidence, while always providing you opportunities to build up your independence. I will be right there with you in the trenches, celebrating your wins with you, calling you out on your excuses, and reminding you to recognize both the big and small changes as you move closer to your goals. I generally work with adults and teens (ages 16 and up) who are looking to build a career in the music and entertainment industry and/or have a serious passion for music. I've worked with students from ages 6-65, with a huge variety of backgrounds and interests–from complete beginners with no musical background or training to professional performing artists. Singing is a skill, and any skill can be learned with the right time and attention. If you show up once a week and put in the work, I guarantee that you will not only see improvement in your technical skills, but will also become a more confident singer within the first month of starting lessons. My favorite thing as a child was watching musicals, especially the classic ones. I performed in many musicals when I was younger and absolutely love this style of music.

Beginner- Exploring the vast canon of musical theater to find your personal niche, beginning singing technique appropriate to show tunes, and learning how to let go of self-consciousness so it's fun to sing in front of others! Intermediate- Building your repertoire and audition options, adding skills to your technique, learning how to appropriately act the song. Advanced- Refining skills and technique, focus on performance.

Learn to move through vocal exercises with ease while crafting your voice, tone, and style. But most importantly, learn to take your voice and turn it into SONG. Singing songs is where most of my training has come from and I’m a firm believer that singing the tunes you love will teach your voice how best to interpret notes, follow intervals, explore dynamics, and gain control. Don’t just sing, PERFORM.

Also, he will help to set short-term & long-term goals like preparing songs for upcoming auditions, releasing originals, or working on a cover and walking through it step by step. Yo Hwan is an LA-based singer/songwriter, vocal coach, and music producer who has been performing and teaching for about 7 years. Yo Hwan is passionate about teaching voice and spreading positive energy for students willing to become genuine artists. He has worked with artists in the United States and Korea, including Paxy, Jenny Nam, and Akin. He is the vocalist and songwriter of IF, a Los Angeles-based pop band. He writes and produces music for himself, various clients, and various teams he manages. In addition to private contracts, Yo Hwan is currently working for Right Hand Music as head of the music production, the DTLA Music Institute as the senior vocal teacher, and K-pop agency as a main vocal instructor. He earned a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Commercial Voice.
